The Organ Foundation of Kerala (ORFOK) is a charitable trust registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, with its registered office at T.C.56/1326, Maithri, 1st Floor, House No. 5, CGS Nagar, Pappanamcode, Pin – 695018, Nemon Village, Thiruvananthapuram Taluk, Thiruvananthapuram. The Trust was established by Dr. N. Selvaraj, Adv. D. Bhuvanandran Nair and S.Bhagavathy Ammal, who jointly executed and registered the Trust Deed in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Trust Act, 1882, and the Income Tax Act as amended from time to time. To initiate its preliminary activities, the Authors contributed a sum of ₹3,000 as working capital. The primary purpose of ORFOK is to provide mental support, guidance, rehabilitation, and welfare services to individuals who have undergone organ transplantation (such as liver, kidney, heart, lungs, eyes, pancreas, etc.), organ donors, patients preparing for transplants, and those suffering from severe organ-related diseases. In addition, the Trust is committed to extending services in the fields of health, education, culture, and social welfare, and to expand its scope in the future as required.

Learn MoreMembership in the Trust is open to all organ transplant recipients, donors, and those who sincerely support the objectives of the Trust, irrespective of religion, caste, or gender. Minors can be represented by their parents or siblings with the approval of the Executive Committee, and even individuals not directly connected to transplantation may become members with State Executive Committee approval. Patients awaiting transplant and their donors may also join on the recommendation of their transplant surgeon. The State Executive Committee has full authority to approve applications, issue ID cards, and revise membership fees or subscriptions when required. Members may resign at any time, though fees and subscriptions are non-refundable. The current membership fee is ₹200 with an annual subscription of ₹180, while full members may obtain life membership by paying a lump sum. Membership automatically ceases upon the death of a member, with no refunds applicable.

അനുനന്ദയെന്ന കുഞ്ഞിൻ്റെ കരൾ മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കൽ ശസ്ത്രക്രീയ കഴിഞ്ഞ് കുഞ്ഞിനേയും അമ്മയേയും കഴിഞ്ഞ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച ഡിസ്ചാർജ് ചെയ്തു. ഇപ്പോൾ അവർ ഡോക്ടറുടെ നിർദേശപ്രകാരം എറണാകുളത്ത് താമസിക്കുന്നു. 3 മാസത്തോളം ഇപ്രകാരം കഴിയേണ്ടി വരും എന്നറിയിച്ചു. ഇപ്പോൾ അമ്മയും കുഞ്ഞും സുഖമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
